IATSE Ballroom Wedding

Ellen & Eric’s IATSE Ballroom wedding took place last spring. Ellen and I have known each other for a while. We worked together as servers at a restaurant for a couple years and we have kept in touch here and there over the years. When Ellen & Eric got engaged they came right to me to talk about a plan for the wedding day.  Now Eric is very much into sports. But he’s even MORE into wrestling. And when I say “into” I mean that he was actually a wrestler for a number of years. Why, you may ask is the first photo in this post a picture of Eric strangling his new wife? “He is a former wrestler, duh” would be my answer to that question. So about that….Ellen arranged for the wedding party to be let into the 2300 Arena across the street from the IATSE Ballroom where the wedding reception was going to be. After the ceremony and some photos around Conshohocken we all hopped on the trolley for the reception. But what Eric didn’t know is that we were planning to stop at the 2300 Arena for a few minutes. There was a wrestling event going on there that same night so they were all set-up with lights on and all. As we pulled up and slowed to a stop in front of the arena and the line of fans stretching around the block Ellen sprung the news to Eric that we were going into the ring for photos. To say he was over the moon would be an understatement. Needless to say these are some of my favorite photos we’ve ever done. I’m pretty sure that the wedding party photo in the ring is my all time favorite wedding party image.

Ellen & Eric, your wedding day was full of fun, surprises……and head locks. It was definitely one for the books. Congratulations you guys!
