Laura & Zach’s wedding was at the uber chic and modern, member’s only, Fitler Club in Center City Philadelphia. Laura & Zach lived in Philadelphia, the town where they met, were engaged and shared their first home…..as well as many a craft beer. So it was only natural for them to want to have their wedding in the city that they love. The Fitler club is one of Philadelphia’s newer and more modern wedding venues and we were excited to be able to show Laura & Zach looking their best inside this urban downtown club. We started the day early on with the couple as they and their wedding parties got dressed and ready for the day at the Sonesta Hotel. Laura & Zach chose to do a first look before the real festivities started and we set that up just outside of their hotel in a tucked (sort of) away spot in Center City. Then it was a quick shuttle ride down the street to The Fitler Club for more photos in the bar and lounge areas upstairs. The wedding party met us and we took some of our favorite wedding party photos in the courtyard as well as in what is normally seen as a back alley. And I guess, it is. But it really was a pretty AND gritty backdrop for some wedding party photos. It’s interesting how often times as your photographers we will see something that will work wonderfully in what may seem mundane or, in this case, kinda blah. The wedding ceremony started with a processional detail that we had never seen before. Being craft beer fans, Laura & Zach had asked one of their friends to strap on a fanny pack style beer holder around his waist. He then proceeded to hand out cans of beer to guests from his hip as he walked down the aisle. That got everyone in the mood to party….I mean prepare for the ceremony. Cocktail hour in the courtyard followed by a rocking dance party well into the night capped off one heck of a wedding weekend for Laura & Zach. You guys, thanks for having us and inviting us to be a part of your day. It was a fun one for sure!
