Tom and I photographed Ashley & Andy’s Northern Liberties engagement session on Tuesday evening. They will be getting married in just under a month at The Franklin Institute. Engagement sessions where we meet with a couple and explore their neighborhood just talking and walking around with no set plan are some of our favorite sessions to photograph. It’s super relaxed and I think the couples that choose this type of casual environment for their engagement session get to feel at home and in their environment. I don’t think we wandered more than a few blocks from Ashley & Andy’s home and we were able to come away with some fun and vibrant images of the soon to be newlyweds in their hood. It’s a great way to document this time in your life as a couple. Chances are that if you live in a location like this in the city as newlyweds it may not be your “forever” home in years to come. So an engagement session in and around the neighborhood where you shared the early years of your relationship can be something that you will look back on fondly in decades to come.
