Kate & Alan’s Colonial Dames wedding in Philadelphia took place super early this summer….like literally on the 2nd official day of summer. What a way to kick off your summer, huh? The Colonial Dames has long been a favorite of ours and a local gem of a wedding venue. Kate & Alan picked a winner of a day as well. It couldn’t have been any more of a picture perfect summer day to get married in Philadelphia. One thing that comes to mind now a couple weeks after the wedding is how easily Kate & Alan laughed with each other. That’s always a good sign as you are heading into a lifetime together. But these two had an extraordinary ability to simply “be” during our photos on their wedding day. After the first look at Colonial Dames Kate’s dad drove us over to Penn’s campus where Kate & Alan live so we could take some pictures around their neighborhood and in front of the “other” Love statue. Then we were headed back to Center City for the ceremony in the outdoor garden at Colonial Dames followed by dinner and dancing upstairs. And then the party started! And the dancing was frenzied for the next few hours. It was a joy to be involved in it all. Thank you for having us Kate & Alan. You guys created a personalized, loving and very fun day. All our best to you both for a wonderful future together!
