One of our favorite shore-based wedding venues in New Jersey is Congress Hall, located in Cape May. Cape May in general is a very quaint, cute little town filled with beautiful nostalgic homes and locations, and Congress Hall fits right in!
Congress Hall is one of America’s oldest seaside resorts, as it was established in 1816 (it was even the 23rd president’s go-to vacation spot, how cool!) It’s a venue filled with deep and rich history that is not so-easy to come by these days. If you’re more interested in a traditional ceremony, rather than an outdoor ceremony on the venue’s grounds – you’re just in luck! Congress Hall is conveniently located down the road from several historic churches, making the flow of your wedding day as easy and seamless as possible. Not only do I treasure Congress Hall for its history, but it has one of the most amazing and breathtaking beachside views – making it one of my favorite New Jersey wedding venues. It’s directly across the street from the Atlantic Ocean and Cape May’s beautiful, serene beaches – making it the most unique and picturesque Jersey Shore wedding spot!
The venue has an incredible, grand lawn that is commonly used for wedding ceremonies, as well as cocktail hour, and of course your memorable wedding portraits. We make sure to soak up all of the beautiful spots throughout the venue’s grounds, and capture your picture-perfect wedding day surrounding beachside views and luscious picture-perfect green grass.
Mallory and Duncan were fortunate enough to get one of the most beautiful spring wedding days filled with endless gorgeous weather and good vibes. At the start of the morning, we honestly weren’t sure which direction the weather was going, but thankfully the sun came out just in time for their stunning outdoor ceremony on Congress Hall’s grand front lawn, and was there to stay with us for the remainder of the night! Mallory was an absolutely beautiful bride and the dress she chose seemed to be perfectly her. It was pretty, light and quietly very elegant. She just looked like she belonged in that dress. Once her bridesmaids and dad got to see her their jaws were on the floor at how incredible Mallory looked as a bride. And we personally always love the white jacket look with a tux, but Duncan looked especially made for such a vintage, classic look. Needless to say these two exuded style and grace all day long.
Following their grand outdoor ceremony, Mallory and Duncan hosted their cocktail hour under the veranda, before guests filed into Congress Hall’s grand ballroom for a reception that was unforgettable. The night was filled with laughs, precious memories, and of course LOTS of dancing, due to the legendary Back 2 Life Band. It was the perfect New Jersey wedding day to celebrate the bride and groom and all their memories to come!
