Fairmount Park Family Photos

Looking at these Fairmount Park family photos we made last August I am reminded how unbelievably hot and oppressively humid it was that morning in The Wissahickon. This is why about halfway through this post you will see this entire family (1 year old and all) in the water. It was just something that had to be done that day. We weren’t the only people using the creek as a solace from the heat. There were plenty of people swimming in and picnicking near Philadelphia’s infamous Devil’s Pool. But we needed the water and these three were down so why the hell not get in? And let me tell you, it worked absolutely beautifully for the photos. These are some of my all time favorite family photos. Take a look for yourself…..and try to feel the sweaty heat of the day.
