Erin & Steve’s Philadelphia Art Museum engagement session was kinda not really at the Art Museum. I think we decided that we would meet near the Philadelphia Museum of Art and that the best place to do so would be around the back of the museum near the Waterworks Restaurant. Well once we got there the light looked good by The Waterworks and all along the river so we never actually made it up the hill to the art museum.  Instead we spent our time taking engagement pictures near the restaurant and along the banks of the Schuykill River as the sun set. It was a very beautiful night and we got so many great photos for Erin & Steve. This type of thing happens often during a photo shoot. We will set up a specific spot only to find that the light and scenery may be working better at a different spot near the original location. Being flexible and open to whatever the day throws your way is one step in the right direction to getting relaxed, comfortable looking portraits. We would never steer you wrong in selecting only the best location for your portrait session! And for sure, we will hit any spot that you definitely want to hit. But sometimes being open to the unexpected and going with the flow can lead to some really spectacular images that we can create together!
