Shofuso Japanese House Engagement

Abi & Alex’s Shofuso Japanese House engagement session took place at an iconic location in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park. If you grew up in the Philadelphia area chances are that at some point in elementary school you took a field trip to the Japanese Garden in Fairmount Park. The Shofuso House is a somewhat tucked away local gem. And if you are at all like me, you haven’t returned to this beautiful Philadelphia icon since 5th grade. So when Abi suggested that we plan her and Alex’s engagement session at Shofuso House and The Horticultural Center, I was all in. The Horticultural Center is one of our absolute favorite venues for weddings. I was excited that we lucked out with weekday access to the Horticultural Center…almost as excited as I was for a return to The Japanese Gardens! And Abi & Alex brought their A+ game to their engagement photos. They were SO GOOD in front of the camera. They were just immediately comfortable with each other and full of expressiveness. We had such a wonderful time walking the park on a beautiful fall day talking about the plans for their upcoming wedding at Les Jardins. It was a great way to get to know each other. We shared a lot of laughs during the afternoon in the park and I am so looking forward to their wedding next summer. Enjoy your engagement photos you guys!
