Valley Green Inn Wedding Photos

Nhung & Matt held their wedding at Valley Green Inn in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park along the Wissahickon Creek.  They had gorgeous weather for their late September wedding with an outdoor ceremony by the creek before the open tented reception decorated by the fun, talented and always hilarious Tanti of Papertini. Nhung & Matt were actually already married at a ceremony in Vietnam, where Nhung is from. Since Matt grew up here in PA they decided to hold another wedding celebration for family and friends in the US. The Valley Green Inn along the Forbidden Drive in The Wissahickon Park is one of Philadelphia’s most unique settings for a wedding. It is a perfect setting for an outdoor ceremony as couples are married literally right on the creek.  One of the unique aspects of holding a wedding here is that the Forbidden drive, a biking/running/hiking path runs between the inn and the ceremony location is kept open during the ceremonies which allows passers by to witness the marriage ceremonies along the water. If you are looking for an extremely private ceremony then this may not be the place for you but if you are the type who doesn’t mind being open and welcoming of the possible stranger or two being witness to your wedding ceremony then this is a wonderful outdoor wedding location.
