Rachel & Garrison’s autumn wedding at Appleford Estate in Villanova fell on a crisp, golden-hued fall day amidst the unique beauty of the estate’s garden. Their wedding was one of those perfect days that I imagine every couple dreams of, filled with outdoor charm, sunset cocktails, and dancing under a starlit tent.
Appleford Estate provided the perfect backdrop for Rachel and Garrison’s dream wedding. With its lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and stately trees, this wedding venue tucked away in suburban Philadelphia offered a romantic setting that seemed to perfectly captured their personalities and the relaxed vibe they were going for with their wedding. After getting dressed in the gorgeously appointed bridal suite 0n the second floor of the stone farmhouse Rachel and Garrison opted for a first look on the stone walkway shaded by a canopy of trees just out back of the main home. They then exchanged personal vows in a private moment alone in the hedge garden. We strolled the gardens and walked along the pond taking photos with Rachel & Garrison before their wedding party joined us for more photos along the tree lined meadow before guests arrived at it was time for the ceremony.
One of our favorite aspects about weddings at Appleford is the incredible outdoor ceremony location nestled at the foot of a 40 foot tall willow tree situated right next to the pond with a small waterfall. It’s always such a beautiful setting. As the sun went down on this perfect afternoon behind the tree line Rachel & Garrison said their I dos in front of all of their family & friends. Guests were invited to cocktail hour on the patio outside the tented reception where signature cocktails were served, old friends and family caught up and mingled while savoring passed hors d’oeuvres.
As late afternoon turned to early evening, the party moved in to the beautifully adorned tent for the reception. Amber uplighting created a warm and inviting space, while rustic wooden tables and floral centerpieces of pinks and whites added a touch of garden charm.
The newlyweds made their grand entrance to loud applause and then walked right in to their first dance. Rachel and Garrison’s first dance was a moment of pure joy, and their smiles were infectious. Friends and family soon joined them, filling the tent with laughter and dance moves that celebrated the love that brought them all together. As the night wore on, the celebration continued with heartfelt toasts, lively conversations, a delicious dinner and of course, dancing! The evening came to a close with a final dance for the newlyweds alone on the dance floor as their guests made their way onto the shuttles headed to the afterparty.
