Bill and his family contacted me to take their family photos in Jenkintown which was soon to be their new home. I know Bill from my networking group and until this day I only really knew him as a lawyer and a trusted professional. But after spending the afternoon with his wife and their two adorable children I got to see the family man side of Bill. His kids are absolutely adorable and they were so good and enthusiastic in front of the camera. Casual and relaxed family photo sessions like this one are some of my favorite photography sessions. The kids don’t have to sit still and “smile for the camera”. We just let them do their thing and we often run all over capturing the kids just running together and playing as they naturally do. Once in a while we will ask the families to sit together just so we can get the traditional “family photo”. But 90% of the time in our family photo sessions we are just letting the kids be kids. We then are able to capture the families without forcing the kids to pose for the camera and look un-natural. Kids are happy that they get to run and Mom & Dad are happy that they have pictures that actually look like their kids!
