Nicky & AJ’s Artesano Gallery wedding in Manayunk was (I believe) the first of 3 weddings that we were fortunate enough to be asked to photograph for a group of close friends. We spent the day basically just side by side with Nicky & AJ. Their whole vibe was super relaxed and free flowing. So we were happy to share in their chill. Getting ready was low maintenance, we scheduled an easy first look outside the hotel in Philadelphia and once we met the wedding party at Artesano we all just walked the streets taking photos around Manayunk before it was time for the ceremony. No stress, no drama….just the way a wedding day should be. They were present and available to their family and friends and just happy to be together. That’s what it’s all about. If a couple can approach their wedding day with an open heart and mind and just be present then our job is made super easy. We can capture that joyful, welcoming environment and spend our time focusing on making photos of all the small moments between family members that really make up the essence of a wedding day.
