Melanie & Kevin’s wedding was on a boat. This was fitting as their first date was also on a boat. You could say that Kevin wooed Melanie with his nautical skills a few years back. So, boats have played a role in their relationship just a bit. How fitting then that they were also married on a boat in October. Their ceremony and reception took placeĀ on the decks of The Moshulu. If you don’t know, the Moshulu was and I guess is still a sailing vessel. But now it’s more of a restaurant and event space than a functioning “vessel”. One of the nice things about Melanie & Kevin’s wedding and it’s location on the Moshulu is that their hotel was literally across the street at The Sheraton Society Hill. So they got ready there, had their reveal just in front of the hotel and we walked the block and a half towards the Delaware and The Moshulu while taking their portraits. Easy, peasy. The ceremony was on the poop deck. Well, I don’t actually know that but I was dying to write that…..because I’m 14 years old. But it WAS on the top deck of the ship in the open autumn air just before sunset. Dinner was in the ship and dancing was back topside on one of the other decks. And to top the evening off, the reception was raided by pirates while everyone was dancing. Really……see for yourself in the photos below.

Melanie and Kevin, thank you for having us and thank you guys for being so much fun and easy going. All the best for smooth sailing in the future. Sorry…..I couldn’t resist.
