01.15.15

Let’s start out in the middle of the day.  Mary & Alex ran through a storm of rice being thrown by their guests as they left the church moments after being married.  They hopped into a Checker Cab and sped off to the reception at The Foundry in Long Island City.  Yeah, this was the type of day that Mary and Alex put together for their New York City wedding.  It was so unique yet it had a very familiar feel.  This is what you imagine when you think of the “movie style” wedding.  By that I mean that their wedding day was the type of fairytale event that only seems to happen in movies.  But Mary and Alex pulled it off and made it a reality. I couldn’t get over the vintage Checker Cab that they rented for their transportation.  And the driver, Peter couldn’t have been a nicer man.  He had all sorts of stories of celebrities riding in his vintage cab.  Speaking of celebrities….we ran into Kelly Ripa in Central Park earlier in the afternoon and she was gracious enough to chat with Mary and Alex for a minute or two.  She even posed for a picture.  A special thanks to Adena for assisting me this day.  Adena’s knowledge of NYC helped us immensely in avoiding traffic all afternoon and helped the day and timeline move efficiently.  Congratulations Mary and Alex.  Enjoy your wedding photos.  Thank you so much for including me as part of your wedding.
