Maureen & Joe’s Congress Hall wedding was our first wedding of a busy 2022 wedding season. And we were fortunate enough to kick it off at one of our favorite wedding venues! And of course Maureen & Joe were some of the most delightful people to start our year off with as well. They were just so much fun and joyful to be around. I mean, after all….it was their wedding day. We started the day off with Maureen and her bridesmaids at the family home in Wildwood as the girls were hanging out in their matching bridesmaids pajamas and having the finishing touches put on with their hair and makeup. Meanwhile Joe and the guys had the run of the swanky Presidential Suite at Congress Hall. Maureen & Joe first saw each other that day as Maureen’s father walked her into the wedding ceremony and down the aisle of Our Lady Star of the Sea. As soon at mass was finished and Maureen & Joe were married they were announced for the first time as husband and wife as they descended the stairs into Washington Square Mall where they were greeted by all of their family and friends as well as many onlookers who were also snapping photos of the newlyweds. Congress Hall is only a short 5 minute walk from Our Lady Star of the Sea so we used this opportunity to take some photos with the wedding party as we all walked through Washington Square Mall making our way to Cape May where the wedding reception and cocktail hour would soon be taking place. There are a few quintessential wedding photo locations at Congress Hall and we were sure to walk Maureen & Joe through some of our favorite spots as the warm afternoon sun highlighted the lawn and balcony. It’s always important for us to get the bride and groom off to their cocktail hour in time to enjoy it with everyone the invited to their wedding so we made sure that we wrapped up photos in plenty of time for Maureen and Joe to make the rounds greeting all of their guests during the cocktail hour under the veranda at Congress Hall. And then came the reception! Some funny and emotional toasts were given to the bride and groom following their beautiful first dance in the newly re-modeled Congress Hall Ballroom. After dinner, DJ Denny Oh had the dance floor full all night. What a memorable day for our friends Maureen & Joe! Thank you guys so much for trusting us to be on your team for the day and to let us celebrate your wedding. All our best to you for a wonderful future!
