First there was Liz & Drew. They met at school in Rochester. Soon after they were engaged we met. Then we spent an afternoon in the middle of winter walking the streets of Ambler taking their engagement photos. A few months after that they were married and we helped them celebrate that day. Clara came along a few years later. And we photographed her first year. This past September we met in Cape May for a family session on the beach at sunset. And now our latests afternoon spent together, Max’s newborn session at home in Philadelphia. At this point with Liz, Drew and their family it’s like I am photographing my own family or close friends. We all get along so easily and they are always so happy and relaxed in front of the camera….even with the chaos that a newborn and 3 year old can bring. Sadly, they are moving out of the Philadelphia area in the next few months and our regular photo sessions will most likely be coming to an end or at least they will be scaled back to (hopefully) once at the holidays. We truly have gotten to know each other well over the years. My own family has grown in size during the time that we have been working together as well and Liz & Drew have always been kept up on everything going on in our family’s life through the years. As a wedding and family photographer, the greatest honor we can have is when a family continues to trust us to capture all of their BIG moments. There is a trust placed with us to photograph the wedding day and to deliver the physical images of the memories that they will carry with them for a lifetime. And that trust just continues to grow when it is placed in us to continue to document each milestone along the way. And when a friendship develops through the years of working with and trusting each other it really is something special. I will surely miss you guys. I do hope that we can continue to see and work with each other when you are able to make your way back to the Philadelphia area. Thank you for inviting me into your lives and letting me capture you all as you grow and become a family. All the best to you for a wonderful future!
