Madeline & Parker’s romantic garden wedding at Aldie Mansion took place on a lovely summer afternoon in July. Caroline and I loved all of the classically beautiful details and feel of Madeline & Parker’s wedding day. And we truly enjoyed being back at Aldie Mansion in Doylestown again. Aldie Mansion weddings have kind of an English garden vibe and you almost feel as though you are transported to a different time and place when you are at Aldie. Madeline & Parker’s day started like any other wedding morning with me and Caroline photographing the preparations of the bride and groom as they got ready for the day in the upstairs bridal suite complete with a balcony overlooking the courtyard and the mansion’s study turned “groom’s room”. The rooms for bridal and groom prep at Aldie are some of the most photogenic that we’ve ever seen. The bridal suite is soft with a pretty blue color scheme while the groom prep room has beautiful dark stained wood panelling and feels like what you would expect a study in an early 20th century mansion would feel. We chose a spot outdoors in the shade for Madeline & Parker’s first look. After Parker saw his beautiful bride to be and “of course” marveled in how stunning she looked in her wedding dress it was off to tour the grounds and the garden areas for their wedding day photos. There are countless wedding photo locations around Aldie Mansion. We’ve been here several times and have never run out of ideas of locations to take a bride and groom for photos! Madeline & Parker’s garden wedding ceremony was officiated by one of their best friends and took place by the 300 year old oak tree in the later afternoon sun. Next the guest were invited to the cocktail hour on the patio as the sun began to set on an already stunning afternoon. The ballroom reception kicked off with Madeline & Parker’s first dance followed by toasts before dinner was served. And as they always do, Madeline & Parker’s Aldie Mansion wedding day was capped off by everyone getting out of their seats and dancing till the end of the night. Madeline & Parker, thank you again for trusting us to capture your wedding day. It was definitely a highlight of our summer weddings. All the best to you both in your new home on the west coast!
