Philadelphia Family Photos

We had done Sarafina and Will’s Philadelphia family photos a couple years ago at their home in Fishtown when they were a family of three. This session was in their new suburban New Jersey location and there was a new family member in the mix as well! We spent the afternoon taking pictures all around the house, particularly in the beautifully lush backyard garden area where the kids were able to sit and play. Jasper was super sweet to his little sister all throughout our session. Sarafina & Will’s brand new house already felt like a home and they are most definitely looking forward to many happy years raising their family in this home. We love capturing family photos at home. These sessions are real and they showcase a regular day in the life of your family at the place where they feel the most comfortable. Sure, the beach sessions are nice and they make for beautiful photos. But I particularly enjoy spending an afternoon photographing families at their own home surrounded by their everyday things. Because the everyday things that are so commonplace now change overtime and when you look back on photos of today’s ordinary it will seem extraordinary and so special.
