Kaitlyn & Sam’s PineCrest Country Club wedding in Lansdale took place in early June, which I guess is technically NOT summer. But it was June….so let’s just let it slide. After photographing weddings in Philadelphia and the suburbs for years and years, this was actually our first time ever photographing a wedding at PineCrest Country Club. Kaitlyn, Sam and I met a while back and we first met face to face on their engagement session at Tyler State Park in Bucks County. After that fall engagement session we were tight. So getting started at the beginning of their wedding day was easy as we had already spent the better part of a day getting to know and work with each other. They trusted us and we knew what we needed to do to put them at ease in front of the camera on what can be a dizzying day. PineCrest was a gorgeous setting for all of Kaitlyn & Sam’s wedding photos and of course the photos of their wedding party as well. The staff at PineCrest was so helpful and attentive to the bride and groom and they even lent the entire wedding party golf carts for an hour so we could take the wedding party onto the golf course for photos away from the clubhouse. I mean, you don’t have to ask us twice to get behind the wheel of a golf cart and speed all over open fields. That’s part of the reason we even do this job to begin with! Naturally we keep everyone’s safety at the top of our priority list but we also do enjoy riding in semi slow style with a bride, groom and their entire wedding party. Kaitlyn & Sam were naturals in front of the camera and as I have mentioned, with assistance of a golf cart we took them all over the course finding beautiful and natural photo locations. But my personal favorite portrait of them is one that we took in the ramp to an underground parking area. The wind was kicking up near the end of our portrait session and we were looking for just a bit of cover before Kaitlyn & Sam wrapped up and headed into their cocktail hour. And we found some protection from the wind on this less than ideal car ramp. But it really made for a couple of gorgeous portraits for the newlywed couple. Kaitlyn & Sam, thank you guys for trusting our team to capture your wedding day memories. We all had such a memorable day with you all. We wish you many years of happiness together!
