Beautiful Beach Wedding Photos at Sunset in Cape May

Amanda & Matt’s wedding took place at the end of June on a beautiful summer day in Cape May, New Jersey. We photographed some of our favorite beach photos at sunset just after dinner and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share our images from their wedding day in Cape May. Amanda and I first spoke about her wedding day last summer and we immediately knew that there was a good connection between us. She described the day that she and Matt were planning and how she envisioned it being captured with an emphasis on emotion and the bonds between family. Right away I knew that I wanted to be a part of Amanda & Matt’s day. We didn’t meet in person before the wedding or even via FaceTime. But as we started the day with Amanda we all naturally fell into a familiar rapport. These two were so easy to be around and their welcoming nature helped us to be able to capture some real, natural and authentic moments between the two of them, their family and the wedding party. When we have that kind of connection with our couples we are able to capture some often overlooked moments as everyone just accepts us as “part of the crew”. Some of our favorite photos throughout the years are those little moments in between the major moments when everyone around us almost forgets that we are there with our cameras. There are a lot of moments that we caught like that for Amanda & Matt. We are so fortunate to be invited into days like these and we love capturing these types of memories.
