Lovely Spring Engagement Photos at Water Works in Philadelphia

Being a Philadelphia engagement and wedding photographer, I encounter a lot of couples who love the idea of doing their engagement photos in the iconic spots in Philly, especially around the Philadelphia Art Museum! While the art museum has become a popular spot for engagement sessions, I prioritize making each and every photo session unique and personal in its own way, for the couple to love and cherish their photos for years to come. When it came to Emma and AK’s engagement session around the art museum’s grounds, we collectively decided to take the more relaxed approach. We explored the area and admired the early spring blooms, more as if we were old friends catching up.

Emma and Ak’s lovely Spring engagement session started off by us exploring the back of the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s grounds and it’s surrounding areas. Taking photos of the beautiful couple, while exploring one of Philadelphia’s most famous spots is honestly one of my favorite ways to spend an engagement session. Engagement sessions are always more on the casual and relaxing side of things, especially when compared to the upcoming wedding day. There’s no strict timeline to follow, just going with the flow and taking fun and beautiful photos with your soon-to-be spouse. Plus – engagement sessions are a great way for the couple and the photographer to get to connect and know each other a bit more! 

On our walk over from the Art Museum, we discovered the most beautiful trees in their early blooming stages – giving us the perfect touch on the “Spring feel” we were hoping for their engagement photos! Once we ventured off to Philadelphia’s Water Works area, along the Schuylkill Banks, we were able to get some great shots of Emma and AK against the iconic Philadelphia skyline – which really added the perfect ending touch to their Spring engagement session!
