Megan & Pat’s Talamore Country Club wedding took place on a gorgeous and warm spring day…..technically it was still in the winter. Everything started off up the street in Ambler where we took wedding photos at The Joseph Ambler Inn just after Megan, Pat and all the wedding party got prepared for the day. The Joseph Ambler Inn is a grouping of historical colonial era houses that have been converted into guest rooms. It’s a wonderful montgomery county location for wedding photos as the farmhouse and older stone home backdrops are just beautiful and very indicative of this area of Pennsylvania. You can have your wedding at Joseph Ambler Inn as well, but Megan & Pat chose to stay here as it is only about 15 minutes tops from Talamore. Another cool thing about Joseph Ambler Inn is that because there are several different guest houses on the property you can have several groups of your guests stay at the different homes. I have always imagined an after party here would be pretty fun as you aren’t trapped in a single hotel room or asked to stay just at the hotel bar. Instead you can walk around the property and into the different guest houses….provided that the occupants of these houses are all a part of your wedding and are welcoming to the late night disturbance. But we are getting way ahead of ourselves with after party talk. We haven’t even gotten into Megan & Pat’s wedding day yet.

We scheduled the first look on the grounds of the inn with plenty of time before the bride and groom headed into Ambler for the wedding ceremony at St. Anthony’s of Paduva. The more time we can schedule for portraits of you on your wedding day, the more relaxed you guys will be as we are taking the photos. It’s so important to allot the proper amount of time for photos, not because we are divas and we need time to create art but because the more time we can have to woek with you, the more casual and relaxed we all can be about your portraits. If looking natural, relaxed and happy in your wedding photos is what you are hoping for then it is important to schedule enough time to enjoy having your photos taken. We’re pros. We’ll make it fun for you….I promise.

After the ceremony and wedding party pics on the streets in Ambler we all drove the short distance to Talamore Country Club for the reception. We snuck Megan & Pat out back for just a few more photos on the bridge behind the club house. Then it was inside for cocktail hour followed by dinner and a dance party led by the crew from Synergetic Sounds. Megan & Pat had a beautiful wedding day at a few of our favorite local venues and I just love the look of the photos we made together!
