A Beautiful Lochwood Manor Wedding in Skippack PA | Gianna & Shawn

Gianna and Shawn’s beautiful fall Lochwood Manor wedding in Skippack, Pennsylvania was definitely one to remember! This was actually our first time getting to photograph a wedding at Lochwood Manor, as the wedding venue just recently opened in spring of 2025. Upon arrival, we quickly discovered just how beautiful and breathtaking the venue truly is. Lochwood Manor is filled with a variety of breathtaking backdrops that elevate not only your wedding portraits, but the wedding day itself. What made this wedding even more special for us was that we were given the opportunity to photograph it in a mix of digital and 35 mm film. When we are given the opportunity to mix photographic mediums, we will typically shoot majority of your wedding day digitally, while shooting about 5 or so rolls of film. That way we really find a sweet spot of mixing the two together, while still accurately capturing the day to it’s fullest extent. Getting to capture the intimacy of Gianna and Shawn’s October wedding day in the gorgeous setting of Lochwood Manor, surrounded by their family and closest friends was truly a memorable and honorable experience. 

Lochwood Manor has an array of spaces available for your wedding day! What’s nice is the duality of all the spaces within the property’s grounds; many different spaces can occur within the same building. Typically, the main barn is the center of your wedding day. This is where not only your wedding reception will take place, but is also the lounge for indoor cocktail hours, and also has the groom’s lounge room tucked away for all getting-ready preparations. Directly behind the main barn, there is mini barn which is a gorgeous, spacious area for smaller gatherings, and this is also where the bridal suite is located. The bridal suite is perfectly set up for hair and makeup preparations for the entire bridal party. Lochwood Manor also has incredible outdoor spaces, such as the outdoor ceremony space, as well as two firepits and a large, outdoor cocktail hour area! This incredible wedding venue, located in Skippack, PA, has everything you need to host your entire wedding day on-site!

Lochwood Manor does offer both a bridal suite and a groom’s lounge, it’s all about personal preference on where you and your partner prefer to start the day. For Gianna, she felt it most comfortable to get ready in the comfort of her mother’s home in Norristown, surrounded by her bridesmaids and her parents. It was an incredibly joyful, and relaxing start to the day. Meanwhile, Shawn and his groomsmen took advantage of the groom’s lounge back at their wedding venue.

Once everyone was in their dresses and suits, set, and ready to go, everyone hopped onto the trolley for the short ride to St. Francis of Assisi Church, in Norristown, Pennsylvania for the traditional Catholic wedding mass ceremony. Gianna and Shawn said their I do’s in front of all of their friends and family on the beautiful October afternoon. We all then made our way to Lochwood Manor to get started on all the portraits before guests started to arrive in time for cocktail hour.

We all really appreciated the venue’s grounds and property, as it allowed for a lot of diversity when it came to all of the wedding portraits. We were able to take the wedding party to several different photo locations throughout the property, such as the mini barn, the main barn, the firepit area, as well as the gate in front of the outdoor cocktail space. We started off in front of the barn capturing the full wedding party, before shifting into just focusing on the lovely bride and groom. Gianna and Shawn had the opportunity to walk casually throughout the Manor’s grounds, as we took photos along the gravel path, as we passed the beautifully manicured garden and tucked away into an eclectic little area out back where there was a chandelier hung in a tree above a vintage couch. It was surely unexpected, but it made for the most romantic setting for the Pennsylvania bride and groom!

We then headed inside the main barn of Lochwood Manor, to get the reception started with a raucous introduction of the wedding party. Gianna and Shawn were then introduced for the first time as husband and wife, as all of their guests filled the barn with cheers and electric joy. Gianna’s maid of honor and Shawn’s best man gave two perfect, emotional speeches to kick off the night. Guests enjoyed an incredible dinner, catered by Seedling and Sage, who are the exclusive catering partner of Lochwood Manor. Once dinner was finished, it was time for the dance party! The rest of the night was filled with absolute love and laughter, and of course energetic dancing. Gianna, Shawn, and their wedding party kept the dance floor packed with the perfect vibes for the night. We loved getting to capture Gianna and Shawn’s special day at Lochwood Manor, and we wish them many, many years of happiness!
