Beautiful Fall Engagement Photos at Valley Forge

Tiara and Mark’s Valley Forge engagement photo session fortunately ended up falling on the most perfect fall day! This was a late October evening photo session, which was great because we were able to capture peak fall photos before the weather got too cold and all of the leaves dropped. Valley Forge is a very popular spot for both family and engagement portrait sessions, but no matter how many times I photograph there, the photos and experience are never exactly the same! You think after photographing there for years, it becomes to feel routine, but the land is so vast, and has so many different and unique pockets (that look different in every season, and even at different times of the day!) that all of my sessions there are unique, and stand-alone sessions.

Tiara and Mark were some of the best subjects to photograph! Despite continuously claiming throughout the session that they “were not good at pictures”, they were complete naturals in front of the camera. They were instantly at ease with one another from the very beginning and made sure to take this time to just laugh and have fun together. We started off the session in the tall fields, which created such a romantic and picturesque atmosphere. This area allowed Tiara and Mark to feel sort of like they were the only people in Valley Forge, since the tall field allowed us to be secluded from the populated parts of the park. We then strolled out to one of the main pathways nearby in Valley Forge, which is where we really saw those beautiful Fall green and yellow leaves pop, making a beautiful backdrop for this engagement session. 

These are honestly some of my favorite engagement photos that I have ever captured, simply because of how at ease and happy Tiara and Mark were. Plus, we had such a beautiful night, which is always a special element to any photo session!
