Golden Hour Fall Engagement Photos Near Philadelphia | Twinning Valley Park

It’s not uncommon for many people in the Philadelphia area to want a more suburban session to separate them from the hustle and bustle of their everyday city-based lives. What is so special about Philadelphia is that you can go about 20 minutes outside the city and be in perfect suburbia, with a vast variety of photo locations to choose from! Twinning Valley Park in Upper Dublin is one of our go-to photo spots when searching for something a little more secluded from the city, and it’s honestly one of the most beautiful parks that make for perfect fall engagement photos. 

As we usually do during an engagement photo session, we started off by just walking and exploring the gorgeous landscapes of Twinning Valley Park, while snapping photographs whenever it felt natural and right. We don’t have an exact plan or strict structure; we honestly just go with the flow and see what seems the most appealing to the couple and the aesthetics of the photo session. We usually just follow the light as the sun sets, and we can simply stroll towards the glowing, setting sun while taking incredible photos along the way. Which, let’s be honest, Twinning Valley Park is the perfect park to take a lovely evening stroll during the peak of the fall season. It has endless, long, winding paths, deep amber leaves on the trees (which, that alone, makes a perfect photo background), tall grasses to walk along, and a hilltop that is the absolute, perfect spot to watch the spectacular fall sunsets. The relaxation of our engagement photo sessions is a great warm-up for the fast-approaching long wedding days. On the big day, we always try to maintain the same levels of relaxation and calm, but there is also a timeline we need to stick to that sometimes has the power to make the day feel more rushed and chaotic. Which is why, during your engagement session, we truly just let all the stress roll off your shoulders, and we don’t create a timeline that needs following. Our only priority is getting you great photos with your better half while embracing the warm colors of the sunset. 

The stunning sunset on this November afternoon was unbelievable, with a warm golden glow that was present throughout the entirety of Emily and Ed’s fall engagement session. This golden hour setting made for the most romantic engagement photos we could have hoped for! After shaking off the nerves and awkwardness, Emily and Ed quickly settled into a pace and became so relaxed in one another’s presence for the remainder of the session. They really allowed themselves to just enjoy the wonderful fall evening with each other, and it was like my camera and I faded into the background. The romance felt in the engagement photos is a true reflection of Emily and Ed as a couple, and I can only imagine how much love will be present on their wedding day at Finely Catering’s brand new venue, The Ivy at Ellis Preserve. I can’t wait to celebrate with them at this incredibly beautiful new Philadelphia wedding venue!
