Early Summer Wedding at The High Point in Malvern, PA

Tucked into the rolling countryside of Chester County, Pennsylvania, The High Point offers a beautiful blend of historic charm, open landscapes, and relaxed elegance — the kind of setting that makes a wedding feel both intimate and timeless.

Angelina and Kai’s early summer wedding day at The High Point in Malvern, PA, was filled with absolute joy! Angelina was one of the happiest brides that we’ve ever been around. You could tell how excited she was to be marrying the love of her life, Kai, and to be surrounded by all of their friends and family.

Both the bride and the groom got ready in their respective Airbnbs to prepare for the big day. Angelina got ready with her bridesmaids in a beautiful rustic cabin, nestled in the woods by a nearby creek in Chester County. While Kai prepared for the day alongside his groomsmen, as he (and some of his groomsmen!) dressed in his Marine Dress Blues. Once everyone was ready for the wedding day, we headed over to the church for their Catholic ceremony, as the couple had opted for no first look.

Angelina and Kai’s Catholic wedding ceremony was one filled with high-emotions, such as love, joy, and admiration. Kai shed a tear or two as his beautiful bride, Angelina, walked down the aisle. The ceremony was beautiful, and it was evident that both of them were radiating with excitement to be pronounced husband and wife. After the full Catholic mass, Kai’s groomsmen and other members of the Naval Academy who were in attendance lined the church aisle with a military sword arch, for the newlywed couple to recess down as their grand ceremony exit. This sword arch is always a special, unique event to witness, and it, of course, makes for a great photo to commemorate the ceremony!

Everyone then headed over to The High Point for the start of the outdoor cocktail hour, while I captured Angelina and Kai’s wedding day portraits, along with photos of the full wedding party together. Everyone was just so filled with smiles and joyful energy as we walked the grounds of the Chester County wedding venue, taking photos amongst the beautiful early summer weather. Angelina and Kai were just incredibly natural with each other in front of the camera, which made their photos look so true-to-life and honestly reflected the overall energy of the special day. They weren’t concerned with the fact that there was a camera present, or worried if they were doing a pose “right”, they just walked along the manicured grounds together, fully taking in the day and embracing newly married life.

Eager to get the party started with all of the important people in their lives, we headed into The High Point’s ballroom for the reception. Following the newlywed’s entrance and first dance, a surprise to everyone in the room showed up. Elvis had entered the ballroom (or an Elvis impersonator at least)! He sang some of those classic romantic Elvis songs to the crowd, and even brought Angelina and her bridesmaids up to the dance floor for a song. Elvis actually ended up sticking around for a good portion of the reception, talking with guests and just hanging out in the background, which honestly reflects the nature of Angelina and Kai. They’re incredibly warm and inviting, and willing to let any and everyone join in on their joyful wedding day. The reception continued with some emotional toasts from the couple’s parents and wedding party, and then it was officially time to dance! Let me tell you, Angelina and Kai’s loved ones know how to get a party going. The night was incredibly light-hearted and fun, and everyone was just over the moon to be celebrating with the super happy couple. 

We’re honored to have been allowed to capture such a memorable day for Angelina and Kai, and we wish them a beautiful lifetime together!
