Liz & Jamie’s Romantic November Sunset Lawn Ceremony at Congress Hall in Cape May

This fall Congress Hall wedding in Cape May, New Jersey, was a day filled with utter romance and radiating joy throughout every moment and element. Both Liz and Jamie are incredibly sweet and welcoming individuals, but put them together, and they become the happiest people in the world. From my very first time meeting them, it was incredibly evident how much they love each other and cherish their bond. When they’re together, they are just laughing with one another all the time, and there is never a dull moment between them.

Liz and Jamie’s Cape May wedding day started with the couple getting ready individually, surrounded by their closest friends and family, with Liz and the girls getting dressed in Congress Hall’s iconic Presidential Suite. The morning was filled with energy, excitement, and laughter, setting the perfect tone for the remainder of the day to follow. We then headed outside to capture the happy couple’s first look at one another. Liz and Jamie were over the moon to finally be together for the first time on their wedding day, and the first look became quite emotional as Jamie teared up after seeing Liz in her beautiful wedding gown. Liz and Jamie were incredibly easy-going during their portrait session around Congress Hall following their first look, and it was evident that they were just thrilled to be in the embrace of one another. We then reunited with their wedding party to snap some group photos on the lawn of the venue. Liz and Jamie definitely have a great group of friends, who clearly are a very tight-knit group and have the best of times together.

One of the great things about choosing to hold your wedding ceremony at Congress Hall is that you get to take full advantage of their gorgeous lawn.  Because their wedding day was in November, it was technically the off-season in the New Jersey beach town, which made it feel like the most intimate and romantic moment. We got lucky with a beautiful, picturesque, warm fall day, which allowed them to fully hold everything outdoors, not too far from the shoreline. Liz and Jamie’s romantic outdoor fall wedding ceremony was held on the venue’s grand lawn and was officiated by one of their close friends.

Following the outdoor ceremony, Liz and Jamie’s cocktail hour took place under Congress Hall’s veranda at sunset, before heading inside to the grand ballroom for the fun-filled reception to take place! The remainder of the night was a straight-up dance party filled with lots of energy, and had wedding guests of all ages up on the dance floor. Liz and Jamie were rarely seen not dancing and having the time of their lives, which I think is the perfect way to end a romantic wedding night! Congratulations, you two. Thank you for trusting us to capture everything for you!
