Erika & Ariel’s New Year’s Eve Kimmel Center Wedding

Caroline photographed Erika & Ariel’s New Year’s Eve Kimmel Center wedding only a few weeks ago on the warm final day of 2023. As to be expected, there was a ton of buzz in Center City Philadelphia all afternoon and into the evening with party goers making their way out to celebrate the new year. And on Broad Street there was of course the preparations for the Mummer’s Parade the following day. So Erika & Ariel were right in the middle of all the action for their wedding day. Caroline did such a beautiful job of capturing the relaxed vibe as Erika & Ariel broke with tradition and got ready together along with family and friends in a suite high atop at The W Hotel. They took some wedding portraits on the short walk down Broad Street from the W to The Kimmel Center as the sun was setting behind the Center City skyscrapers. Just before guests began to arrive to the Kimmel Center for Erika & Ariel’s wedding ceremony their rabbi conducted a private ketubah ceremony signifying the official joining of the bride and groom. Erika & Ariel shared an intimate and emotion filled wedding ceremony under the glass ceiling of The Kimmel Center and I just love some of these stolen moments Caroline was able to capture. As guests mingled in the cocktail hour, Erika & Ariel snuck off into the reception room to share a private first dance. As they were finishing up their first dance as husband and wife, guests were invited into the ballroom to start the horah and the rest of the wedding reception celebration. Of course no New Year’s Eve wedding is complete without a countdown to midnight, 2024 glasses and hats as well as a huge dance party! Erika & Ariel, thank you for placing your trust in our team to capture your once in a lifetime day. It was an honor to be a part of it all.
