Brittany & Rob’s Reeds at Shelter Haven Wedding

Brittany & Rob’s Reeds at Shelter Haven wedding brought our team down to the shore on a beautiful late summer afternoon shortly after Labor Day, the unofficial end of summer. Stone Harbor was just a little more quiet than it was only a few weeks earlier but it was just as picturesque as it always is and we were so excited to get started with Brittany & Rob and capture all of beauty of the day as well as the intimate moments between their family and friends. As Rob and the guys relaxed before putting their tuxes on at The Reeds at Shelter Haven, Brittany and the bridesmaids were just up the street a bit at The Icona in Avalon. Once hair and makeup were finished the girls had a bit of time to just relax and laugh with each other as anticipation for the day ahead grew. Brittany was dressed in a spacious and light filled bridal suite before descending the stairs of the lobby for a tearful first look with her dad. And then it was off to get married! During Brittany & Rob’s traditional Catholic wedding ceremony we were peering out the doors of the church to nervously watch the clouds appear and the rain start coming down. As luck would have it though, the rain stopped minutes before the end of the ceremony and with that passing storm the temperature as well as the stifling humidity dropped immensely and gave us idyllic conditions for wedding party photos on the beach. This wedding party was all in and was really having a good time together. Some of the candid moments that we captured of Brittany & Rob’s friends on the beach are our favorites of the season. Brittany & Rob planed a super unique entrance to their Reeds at Shelter Haven wedding reception. Instead of being introduced into the reception they chose to arrive via the bay on a rented boat as their guests were enjoying cocktail hour on the patio overlooking the water. As the boat approached the dock everyone at the outdoor cocktail hour cheered and clapped for the newlyweds as they made their way from the boat to the dock and up the ramp into their wedding reception! And then the party started. There were emotional parent dances, touching and hilarious toasts a delicious dinner, a beautiful sunset over the bay and of course a rocking dance party. Brittany & Rob, what an absolute pleasure it was to share in your wedding day. Thank you both for putting your trust in our photo and video teams. We had just as much fun as you and your friends had. Congratulations to you two. All our best for a wonderful future together.
