Spring Wedding at The Lake House Inn in Pennsylvania

We were ecstatic when Kaileigh and Mason first contacted us to photograph their spring wedding along Lake Galena in Bucks County! The Lake House Inn in Perkasie, PA, is one of our absolute favorite Bucks County wedding venues to photograph. We were so excited to reconnect with Kaileigh and Mason after photographing their romantic engagement session in Doylestown, and it was especially heartwarming to see that they kept all of their wedding vendors local to the Doylestown area, which is where they also call home!

The spring wedding day in Perkasie started off with the bride and groom getting ready with their respective wedding party at The Lake House Inn. One of the best features of this lakeside wedding venue is that they have on-site hotel rooms, including a bridal suite that overlooks Lake Galena, and the groom’s suite that is fully suited with a bar, pool table, a big-screen TV, and a patio! The groom and his groomsmen have plenty of space to relax and hang out before it’s time for them to get dressed and start off the wedding day. Meanwhile, the bridal suite exudes elegance with the large French doors that open up to an amazing, breathtaking view of the ceremony site and the lake beyond. It also includes a large hair and makeup room that can fit two-to-three women at a time, to get all of their wedding day glam done and prepped. We, as wedding photographers, absolutely love this aspect of the stunning Lake House Inn for all of our couples, as it makes the day feel much more relaxed and easy-to-enjoy the start of a seemingly stressful day, which is what we are all about!

Kaileigh and Mason’s spring wedding day was in the middle of May, which created the most beautiful overcast, natural lighting! Everything about this wedding day felt very pleasant and relaxed, as everything from getting ready in the morning to the sparkler exit at the end of the night took place along the Lake House Inn’s property. Kaileigh and Mason had arrived on the property the night before the big day and got to spend the entirety of their wedding day, start-to-finish, with all of their friends and family. They didn’t have to stress or worry about coordinating getting everyone to three or four different locations; the day just moved effortlessly and seamlessly throughout the Lake House Inn property. If possible, we always recommend to our couples to keep everything in one location for the majority of your wedding day. It really sets you up to have a stress-free day, allowing you to solely focus on spending the day with your loved ones.

The outdoor wedding ceremony was held overlooking the lake on this gorgeous spring day. All of the guests were able to simultaneously face the lakeview and the wedding ceremony, creating a really beautiful scene to capture and photograph. Following the gorgeous lakeside wedding ceremony, everyone headed over to the patio to enjoy the thoughtfully planned cocktail hour. Kaileigh and Mason had planned to have all of their portraits with one another, their families, and their wedding party completed before the ceremony, so that they would be able to enjoy the cocktail hour and mingle and greet all of their loved ones without missing a moment of fun! This is one of the moments I remember most about their wedding day, just Kaileigh and Mason fully enjoying getting to be a part of the meticulously planned wedding celebration. We always try to make your portraits finished in time, for you to join your own cocktail hour; this is especially true if you are open to doing a first-look and scheduling all of your photos to take place before the ceremony. This allows you to actually be a part of your entire wedding day and take in all of the beautiful details you’ve spent months planning, along with getting to mingle with all of your guests!

From there, the party quickly shifted into the ballroom, where the reception took place. The entire room was on the dance floor at all times, surrounding the couple and just enjoying getting to dance and laugh with the newlyweds on the happiest night of their lives. They capped the night off with an astonishing sparkler exit, before heading back into the Inn to get the after-party started! Truly a night filled with laughter, gorgeous views, and one hell of a party!
