Jenna & Michael’s Holly Hedge Estate Wedding

Jenna & Michael’s Holly Hedge Estate wedding was just last Saturday! What an incredibly beautiful late spring afternoon it was in New Hope for Jenna & Mike’s long awaited wedding day and they were so very fortunate that the weather was just perfect. It looked a bit dicey there a few days earlier as the north east was blanketed in smoke from the Canadian wildfires. All week it was perfect weather and then just days before the wedding smoke from our neighbor to the north started to cover, well….basically the top half of the United States. Still, Jenna & Mike had been engaged for the past two years and the last thing they needed was foreign smoke putting a damper on their day. Well it turned out that the smoke moved on out of the area the day before the wedding and Saturday was a stunning day in New Hope for all of their friends and family to celebrate the happy couple at Holly Hedge Estate. Once the day got underway, Jenna & Mike had their first look just off the courtyard of this beautiful 18th century home. The light was perfectly  filtered through some high clouds and it painted the farm’s rustic courtyard beautifully with a soft but warm glow. We spent the next hour or so just casually walking the grounds of the estate from the stone steps to the iron gates rimmed by white blooms. When the wedding party met us for photos, the real party started and laughs were not in short supply. The couple was tucked away in the bridal suite for a few minutes as guests arrived for the outdoor wedding ceremony in the courtyard adorned with a stone fountain and beautifully decorated with florals. Reverend Bob led a very personal, lite and funny ceremony before announcing the newly married couple. Of course after the ceremony recessional there were a few happy tears shed by family members as they congratulated Jenna & Mike. Then it was onto the cocktail hour in the stone barn and out on the patio with passed apps and cocktails enjoyed as the sun began to set before the reception. Jenna & Mike were announced into the wedding reception to a roar from their guests as they started their first dance as husband and wife before inviting the entire room onto the dance floor for the first set of music and partying. Toasts and dinner followed by cigars outside and then a dance party for the rest of the night. We shut the night down with Jenna & Mike as they danced the last dance of the night surrounded by the interlocked arms of their closest family and friends. It was truly a perfect day all around and we couldn’t have been happier for the newlyweds. Jenna & Mike, you guys have been an absolute joy to work with and get to know over these past two years. We are so happy for you and thrilled that your wedding day went as smoothly as it did. Thank you so very much for trusting us to capture your engagement and wedding photos and for letting us into your world for one of the most meaningful days of your lives. All our best to you both.
